Petmiska.sk is a premium e-commerce site for selling EMPIRE brand pet foods designed for dogs and cats. This was a project from the ground up: graphic identity, logo, overall design, and technical implementation on Shopify. We created an e-commerce platform that clearly communicates the premium nature of the products in even the smallest details of each page.

The intention was to create an e-commerce site that sells itself—not only visually but also informationally: a customer visiting the product page should leave convinced that they know exactly what they are buying and why it is worth it. We wanted Petmiska.sk to present itself as a premium brand even when compared to major players in the pet supply market.
(PROBLÉM)
The client approached us with a premium brand that had no digital presence whatsoever. There was no e-commerce site, logo, or cohesive visual identity. The product had clear qualities and a market position, but there was no channel through which it could communicate these to customers. It was necessary to build trust in the brand from scratch while simultaneously creating a functional environment for sales.

From the start, it was clear that simply installing a theme and copying products would not suffice. EMPIRE pet foods are a premium product with a complex product structure, where each line (PRIME, NATURAL, cat foods) has a different target audience, different benefits, and different data. We approached the project as a branded product, not just a technical implementation. We developed the graphic identity in parallel with the architecture of the e-commerce site to ensure that the design and content structure mutually supported the brand's premium positioning. We built product pages on metafields, which allowed us to achieve maximum variability without losing code clarity.
(POTREBY UŽÍVATEĽA)
The customer needed to know not only what the product contains but also why it makes sense specifically for their pet. They needed to compare packaging variants, understand nutritional values, and complete an order easily and quickly. The proposed solution considers these needs at every step of the purchasing process, from the first impression on the product page to the selection of shipping with an exact pickup location.

(VÝZVY)
The biggest challenge was maintaining the variability of product pages while preserving a consistent visual style. Each product contains different ingredients, badges, recommended dosages, and key components, including AI-generated illustrations. It was necessary to design a metafield system that could handle these differences automatically without manually creating separate templates for each product. Another challenge was integrating multiple technical layers: the Stripe payment gateway, Globe logistics solution with DPD and Packety support, and Shopify Flow for automating newsletter communication—all of which had to function reliably from day one of launching.
(USER CENTRIC)
Petmiska's customer is a dog or cat owner who cares about the quality of their pet's food and wants to understand what they are purchasing. Therefore, we built each product page as both an educational and sales tool. Interactive composition tables, ingredient visualizations, sections about the suitability of food for specific breed groups or age categories—everything emerged from the need to answer customer questions before they even ask.
