For the Slovak Paradise National Park, we created a presentation website that facilitates trip planning and helps visitors discover one of the most exceptional natural areas in Slovakia. From mysterious caves to vast plateaus and gorges, the website was built on WordPress with Elementor, following the client's provided design manual, with an emphasis on mobile display, loading speed, and multilingual support.
(VÍZIA)
The goal was to create a website that respects the character of Slovak Paradise. No aggressive elements, no visual noise. The site needed to feel calm and clear, just like the park itself. Visitors should find everything they need without unnecessary searching and leave with the sense that they know exactly where to go, what to see, and how to prepare.
(PROBLÉM)
National park websites often suffer from outdated designs and unclear structures, where visitors get lost among dozens of subpages. The challenge was to create a site that contains all the necessary information, from trails to caves to practical advice, while remaining visually clean and easy to navigate. Every section had to be accessible in just a few clicks, regardless of whether the visitor is accessing from a computer at home or from a mobile device directly in the park.
(NÁŠ POSTUP)
We started with an analysis of the provided design manual, typography, color scheme, and all visual elements. We then proceeded to implementation with a mobile-first approach, as most visitors to the national park seek information primarily from their phones, often right in the field. We built the website using WordPress with Elementor, allowing the client to easily manage updates and content. We optimized images and loading times, set up basic SEO and metadata, and thoroughly tested the functionality across browsers and devices before launch.
(POTREBY UŽÍVATEĽA)
Visitors to Slovak Paradise need to know where to go, what to see, and how to prepare. Tourists seek an overview of trails and caves with practical information. Families with children want to know which places are suitable for little kids. International visitors need content in their own language. For each of these groups, the website offers a clear path to relevant information, supported by a multilingual version, interactive maps, and up-to-date news managed directly by the client through the CMS.
(VÝZVY)
The biggest challenge was the client's remote location and the need to accurately translate the existing visual identity into a fully functional website. The design manual defined specific colors, typography, and visual style that the website had to adhere to in every detail. Additionally, we addressed technical requirements, responsiveness on all devices, multilingual support, a CMS for managing updates, contact forms, and map integration. Despite the distance, we managed communication with the client seamlessly and delivered the project with the required quality.
(USER CENTRIC)
The website is designed for individuals planning a visit to Slovak Paradise. They need to quickly find practical information, navigate options, and decide what to visit. Therefore, the navigation is simple and straightforward. Information is structured from the most important to supplementary details, ensuring that visitors get answers to their questions without unnecessary clicking and scrolling.
