For Gumideck, we created a presentation website for the innovative GUMI patio system that allows the installation of wooden decks without cutting, drilling, and waste. In addition to the classic product presentation, we developed an intelligent online calculator where visitors can instantly see the exact number of boards, accessories, and total cost after entering their measurements. The website educationally explains the technology, compares GUMI with traditional solutions, and leads the visitor to calculate or order through the connected e-shop.
(VÍZIA)
The goal was to create a website that functions as the best salesperson on the team. It explains the technology clearly, even to laypeople, addresses objections before visitors even realize them, and shows the exact price without unnecessary inquiries. Visitors should leave with the feeling that they understand the product, know how much it will cost, and understand what to do next, not feeling they have to call and wait for a quote.
(PROBLÉM)
Presentation websites for construction products often fall into the trap of technical jargon. They discuss durability classes, thermal treatments, and structural systems, yet customers still don't know if they can install it themselves and how much it will cost. Another common problem is the lack of pricing. Most competitor websites refer to 'request a quote', losing potential customers who want an immediate answer. Our solution was a combination of understandable copywriting that translates benefits into the language of everyday people, along with a calculator that provides an exact price in 30 seconds.

(NÁŠ POSTUP)
We designed the website as a tool intended to fulfill one task: to convince visitors that the GUMI system is a better solution than traditional decking boards or plastic grids. Everything was built around compelling arguments. The introductory section communicates key benefits: no cutting, no waste, installation in a few hours instead of days. A comparison table directly on the page shows differences in installation, time, materials, and design options. The calculator provides instant pricing without waiting for a quote. At the end of this journey, there's a link to the e-shop or a contact form for larger projects. Every element on the page nudges the visitor closer to a decision.
(POTREBY UŽÍVATEĽA)
An apartment owner with a balcony needs to know if the GUMI system works on their specific substrate, how long the installation will take, and how much it will cost. A homeowner with a garden compares traditional decking boards with GUMI and looks for reasons to choose the innovative system. A developer or construction company needs technical specifications, information about first-class thermally modified ash wood durability, and the option to order materials for a larger project. For each of these groups, the website offers relevant answers. The average customer finds understandable explanations and a calculator, while professionals find technical details and a pathway to the e-shop or direct contact.

(VÝZVY)
The biggest challenge was to translate a technical product into language that a typical apartment or house owner understands. The GUMI system is innovative, but innovation alone doesn't sell. Customers need to know what it means for them in practice: saves time, no need for a craftsman, no extra materials bought. The technical implementation of the calculator was also challenging, as it must accurately compute the number of boards, connectors, and accessories for various sizes and shapes of decks. The calculation needs to be precise because the customer makes a purchasing decision based on it. Additionally, we addressed the integration of the presentation website with the existing e-shop to ensure a smooth transition between the two without losing context for the customer.
(USER CENTRIC)
The website is designed for the person standing on the balcony or in the garden, contemplating what a wooden deck would look like here. They have no installation experience, don't know which material to choose, and don't want to wait a week for a quote. Therefore, the entire site is structured as a journey from question to answer. First, they understand why GUMI is different (comparison table). Then they see how simply the installation works (visual representation). Finally, they enter their measurements and in a few seconds know the exact price (calculator). The whole journey from the first visit to decision-making takes minutes, not days.
